Abyss: Beyond Destiny – Volume I

Abyss non è un eroe. Non è un salvatore. È un Sovrano antico, immensamente potente, abituato a mondi in cui il suo nome basta a piegare eserciti e a trasformare ogni sua parola in un ordine.

Quando arriva sulla Terra, però, scopre qualcosa che non si aspettava.

Un pianeta fragile, rumoroso e apparentemente insignificante, governato da regole che ai suoi occhi sembrano assurde: denaro, proprietà, convenzioni sociali, limiti che nessuno potrebbe realmente imporgli. Eppure, proprio perché nessuno conosce davvero chi sia, la Terra gli offre qualcosa che il potere gli ha negato per quasi tutta la sua esistenza: la possibilità di osservare, imparare e, almeno per qualche momento, essere semplicemente una persona.

L’incontro con Luca, un ragazzo umano capace di rivolgersi a lui senza l’adorazione o il terrore che accompagnano il suo titolo, rende quel mondo ancora più interessante. Tra incomprensioni, ironia e una quotidianità completamente estranea al Sovrano, nasce un legame improbabile che permette a Luca di intravedere ciò che esiste dietro l’immensa forza di Abyss, mentre quest’ultimo comincia a guardare l’umanità da una prospettiva diversa.

Ma la Terra nasconde molto più di quanto dovrebbe.

Antichi documenti, riferimenti incompleti e tracce di conoscenze che non sembrano appartenere al pianeta attirano l’attenzione di Abyss. Quella che inizialmente è semplice curiosità diventa una ricerca sempre più vasta, fino a coinvolgere la Nightmare Legion, l’organizzazione al servizio del Sovrano, e alcune delle figure che lo conoscono da più tempo.

Mentre Omega, Sefiron, Tion e le unità della Legione seguono frammenti dispersi tra archivi, raccolte e sistemi terrestri, anche gli esseri umani iniziano ad accorgersi che qualcosa non torna. Accessi impossibili, anomalie e movimenti privi di una spiegazione attirano l’attenzione delle strutture più riservate del pianeta, costringendo la Legione a muoversi nell’ombra.

Poi emerge un nome: Aeternum.

Un nome collegato a simboli, documenti e informazioni che qualcuno ha cercato di nascondere nel corso del tempo. Più Abyss si avvicina alla verità, più diventa evidente che il mistero non riguarda soltanto un luogo perduto.

Qualcuno è arrivato prima di lui.

Qualcuno ha cercato le stesse risposte.

E forse qualcuno le sta cercando ancora.

Tra dark fantasy, mistero, mondi sconosciuti e momenti sorprendentemente umani, Abyss – Beyond Destiny racconta l’inizio del viaggio di un essere capace di dominare intere civiltà, ma ancora lontano dal comprendere tutto ciò che l’universo custodisce.

Perché anche per chi possiede un potere quasi illimitato esistono domande alle quali la forza non può rispondere.

E la Terra potrebbe custodire una di quelle risposte.

A fragile, noisy, seemingly insignificant planet ruled by concepts that make little sense to him: money, ownership, social conventions, and limits no human could ever truly impose on him. Yet because no one knows who he really is, Earth offers Abyss something power has denied him for most of his existence: the chance to observe, to learn, and, for a little while, to simply be a person.

Then he meets Luca, an ordinary human who speaks to him without the fear or reverence normally attached to his title. Through misunderstandings, humor, and a daily life completely unfamiliar to the Sovereign, an unlikely bond begins to form. Luca slowly glimpses the person hidden behind Abyss’s overwhelming power, while Abyss starts looking at humanity from a perspective he has never considered before.

But Earth is hiding far more than it should.

Ancient documents, incomplete references, and traces of knowledge that do not seem to belong to the planet catch Abyss’s attention. What begins as curiosity soon grows into a much larger investigation, drawing in the Nightmare Legion, the force that serves the Sovereign, and some of the beings who have known him the longest.

As Omega, Sefiron, Tion, and the Legion’s units follow scattered fragments through archives, collections, and terrestrial systems, humanity begins to notice that something is wrong. Impossible accesses, unexplained anomalies, and movements with no identifiable source attract the attention of Earth’s most secretive organizations, forcing the Legion to continue its search from the shadows.

Then a name emerges: Aeternum.

A name connected to symbols, documents, and information someone has tried to conceal across time. And the closer Abyss comes to the truth, the clearer it becomes that the mystery is not simply about a lost place.

Someone came before him.

Someone searched for the same answers.

And perhaps someone is still searching now.
